Alicia joined the Proteus IRC in 2015 as a post-doc, after being awarded a Marie Curie fellowship. She focuses on the development of smart probes for the optical imaging of disease. Specifically she designs, synthesises and optimises fluorescent probes that respond to the presence of bacteria and enzymes.
